History Lesson. Take some time and learn something about the origins of St. Patrick’s Day. Like how St. Patrick's Day has been celebrated in Ireland for over a thousand years as a religious holiday. It wasn’t until recent, the 1970’s, that this day was treated as a way to celebrate Irish culture and heritage.

Definitely wear green. Go all out or as subtle as you want. Wear something as small as a pin or paint your face with the Irish flag and wearing a green bodysuit, it is up to you. All that matters is that you are celebrating with positive attitude!

Eat traditional Irish food. A great way to become even closer to the Irish tradition is through their foods! Some traditional Irish foods include bangers and mash, bacon, cabbage, stew, Shepherd's Pie, potato bread and black pudding. If all that sounds like a little too much to prepare, you could always stick with the classic corned beef, cabbage and lamb stew with a side of potatoes. Yum!

Listen to a Some Irish Music. Search in Spotify or Pandora for “Traditional Irish Music” and several selections will pop up with the most popular music. Another option is to search specifically for Celtic, Folk, or traditional Irish pub songs – that will surely set you in the mood for a great St. Patrick’s Day!
