The weather is finally starting to warm up and Spring Break is here! For anyone taking a trip this break there are some safety steps that should be taken.
Drivng
Switch Drivers- Make sure you are rotating drivers behind the wheel. Switching people out will keep everyone rested and everyone can have a turn at being the radio DJ.
Hide Valuables – If you have valuables in your car, make sure they are out of sight. If you were going to leave them in your car, be sure to put the items in your trunk.
Hotel
Take a Card – Grab a business card from the front desk with the name of the hotel on it before leaving your hotel, just in case you need help getting back.
Double Check –Check to make sure your windows and door locks work when you get in your room.
Sun
Sunscreen is Key – Be sure to use sunscreen and to reapply! Don’t forget to hit the spots that will have more direct contact to the sun like your ears, shoulders, and nose.
Drink H2O – When you are out in the sun for a long time, remember to stay hydrated. If you feel lightheaded, get under some shade and drink water immediately.
Overall, the most important rule for Spring Break is to keep your wits about you at all times and remember to have fun!
