Youth Accounts
You are never too young to start saving! Join us for Money Mammals! It’s not just a savings account for kids — it’s an entire award-winning system that makes it fun and easy for children as young as two or three to begin learning real money skills they’ll use for the rest of their lives. It’s free to join (other than a $5 deposit to open a youth savings account), and includes free access to games, apps, and online activities. Plus, kids earn prizes in-branch when they meet their savings goals!

**Balances up to $10,000 will earn the stated dividend rate and the portion of the balance over $10,000 will earn the standard savings dividend rate. Dividends will be paid on ONE FREE Checking Account per member. Fees could reduce earnings. This also applies to Young Adult Checking Accounts.
Savings-only membership may be subject to qualifications to avoid a monthly fee. See fee schedule for full details.
Minimum requirements to earn Free Checking dividends:
- Maintain a monthly Direct Deposit of $500.00 or more.
- 15 signature-based debit card purchases (no returns, PIN or ATM) totaling $150 or more. All purchases must be cleared and posted to your transaction history within the current month. Authorized or pending purchases do not qualify.
You must be enrolled in eStatements, and an active user of GLCU's online Bill Pay or Mobile Banking.
